Transformative Leadership – A Global Perspective

An incredible learning opportunity for Wellington’s
future leaders

Ambassadors, High Commissioners, and CEOs of international businesses and development agencies will share their global perspective on transformative ideas and practices. The aim is to inspire attendees with innovative ways they can lead businesses and organisations in the future, in ways that are highly successful, and that will transform the well-being of local and international communities and the environment.

The session will begin with a 25 minute presentation followed by a group discussion on how the ideas presented could be applied to New Zealand. There will also be an opportunity to network and socialise. Nibbles will be provided and drinks will be available to purchase.

The first week's speaker is Switzerland’s Ambassador HE Mr David Vogelsanger who will present on “Representing a small country in a turbulent world”.

Ambassador HE Mr David Vogelsanger served as a delegate of the International Committee of the Red Cross in different zones of armed conflict in Africa, the Middle East and East Asia. He served at the Swiss Mission to the OECD in Paris, and the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (international humanitarian organizations, peacekeeping operations and narcotics issues). He was in charge of political issues and the spokesman for the Swiss Embassy in Washington D.C. On 23 October 2013, he was appointed Ambassador to New Zealand, the Cook Islands, Fiji, Samoa, Tonga and Tuvalu, with residence in Wellington. He also serves as Consul General to American Samoa.
