Young professionals of Wellington! WYP has a star studded panel lined up to discuss issues faced by women in business, what can be done about it, and how this looks for young professionals today.
Join us at the Thistle Inn on Monday 26th of June from 5.30 to 6.30 for the discussion, nibbles, and our usual mix and mingling afterwards.
We are also very excited to be supporting and hosting Dress for Success Wellington, a charity dedicated to helping disadvantaged women dress and prepare for job interviews.
Ladies, we’re inviting you to bring along and donate any office clothing that’s still in good nick. Maybe you forgot you owned that top, simply don’t suit it, or are happy to pass on to its next loving owner! Dress for Success is always looking to update their wardrobe, and what better way to clear your closet??
Guys we haven’t forgotten about you either; there will be a donation box at the event, but feel free to hand over that feminine shirt with the floral pattern too. Don’t worry, our speakers will be discussing topics that are relevant to you as well.
SO, who are these mysterious, top-quality panellists you ask? Time to meet Rachel and Carrie:
Rachel Scott is a manager in PwC’s risk management and internal audit team, making her well aware of challenges facing women in business. She's also worked on global audits, and on top of her PwC role is the acting manager of risk for the Ministry of Health. She has cross-cultural experience, being originally from the UK and having worked in Spain.
Carrie Cooke is an associate director at PwC and has over 10 years experience in the public sector including policy, finance, negotiation and relationship management. She has an MBA and experience representing the government at international conferences.
Come along to hear what Rachel and Carrie have to say and join the conversation! See you there!
