WYP is a not-for-profit, volunteer-run organisation, but it still needs to comply with certain legal obligations. One of those is the requirement to hold an AGM annually. Not only is it an opportunity to put your hand up to be part of the Committee, it allows you to get an insight into our operations and a chance to have a say on the direction of the organisation into the next year. It also enables the committee to focus its attention on confirming and executing its events plan for the next 12 months!
Drinks will kick-off as usual at 5.30pm on Wednesday 6 September at Ministry of Food, 105 The Terrace, Wellington. At 6.00pm, we will commence the formalities associated with the AGM. It is a relatively short process, and this year’s agenda is succinct. At the end of the formalities, normal transmission will resume with the usual opportunities to mix and mingle with your WYP peers and the newly elected committee.
We are also calling for nominations for the 2017/2018 Committee. We have two vacant general positions that are currently Sponsorship Manager and Events Manager.
