Mary Sullivan

Mary is originally from Hawke's Bay and studied law and history at Otago University. She is a corporate and commercial solicitor at Limited, a firm which works with start ups and high growth companies (among others).

Outside of work she enjoys attending many of the events and activities Wellington has to offer, and is also a keen runner.

Nic Barkley
Vice President

Nic grew up in Nelson in the top of the South before moving to Wellington to study at Victoria University of Wellington. He currently works at the State Services Commission as the Principal Advisor in the Office of the Head of State Services.

Outside of work, Nic gets out and about with his camera—most notably on the south coast of Wellington to grab some shots of the night sky.

Ben Ruback

Ben is currently a solicitor at Rainey Collins working in the litigation team. He is originally from the Wairarapa and moved to Wellington to study law and arts at Victoria University of Wellington.

Ben is an avid swimmer who enjoys sharing his knowledge and experiences with others as a coach at a competitive swim club, learn to swim club, and surf lifesaving club. He has represented New Zealand in open water swimming at several international competitions.

Robyn Simpson

Robyn is originally from Hawke's Bay before moving to Palmerston North to study Accounting and Mathematics at Massey University. Finally settling down in Wellington, Robyn works as a Senior Associate in the Financial Assurance team at PwC.

Outside of work Robyn enjoys reading, the gym and Sunday brunches at one of the many great food options Wellington has to offer.

Frederick Dunphy

Frederick is part of the Property and Commercial team at Morrison Kent and is an avid sportsman.

Frederick enjoys long walks down the beach, wine, golf and trying new things. Frederick is one of the most social people you will meet, you should feel free to approach him at any meeting or event as he simply loves to meet new people.

Natalia Fareti

Natalia is a Senior Advisor at the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment. A graduate of both Victoria University and Massey University, she’s an aspiring author who enjoys a bit of tango and ceroc, as well as kickboxing.

She volunteers for various causes and finds it hard to say no to chocolate. She looks forward to helping arrange some great events for our WYP members and guests.

Jaemen is currently a Business Coordinator at the Pacific Business Trust and Chief Operating Officer at Vaka Interactiv.
Originally from South Auckland, Jaemen moved down to Wellington to be a part of the Mahuki Accelerator at Te Papa Museum in 2017. He enjoys the entrepreneurial journey and learning about Technology, Korean Culture, and Mixed Martial Arts.
As a natural introvert, Jaemen is looking to switch his natural reservedness for a social eagerness to better connect people, cultures, and interests through the WYP Events Team.

Yi Zhang

Yi is a loud and proud East Aucklander who has moved down to Wellington to pursue her Masters student in Business Analysis at Victoria University of Wellington. 

She is a firm believer that leadership is the fundamental solution to the world's issues, She has a powerful passion for leadership and the ability to change the lives of others by developing mindset and qualities. Outside of that, Yi enjoys challenging workouts, coffee dates in a Wellington cafe and super spicy Mexican food.
