Born and raised in Wellington, Sophie attended Victoria University of Wellington completing a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in International Business and Marketing.
She currently works as an HR Advisor, and has previously worked for Spark, IRD and MBIE.
In her spare time she loves travelling and exploring new cultures, studying fashion and fine dining.
Chris is originally from Wellington and after completing his Commerce degree at Victoria University moved to Australia to start his career in Financial Services before moving back home in 2016. Chris is a Financial Adviser working for NZ Funds Private Wealth specialising in Investment advice and retirement planning.
Chris is a keen sports supporter including rugby, soccer and golf. He tries his best at getting a round of golf in when he can and enjoys spending time with friends and family.
Growing up in China and Auckland, Janice enjoyed experiencing different cultures and embracing the world from different perspectives.
Janice moved to Wellington and started working as an Auditor at Audit New Zealand after graduating from the University of Canterbury at the beginning of 2020. Post-Covid lockdown, she had the opportunity to spend twelve weeks travelling across the country for various client visits.
In her downtime, Janice enjoys going on roadies and hitting the slopes in Winter.
Originally born in London, David moved to NZ as a youngster and has enjoyed various roles helping clients with their home finance needs. David works at Stephanie Murray Mortgages as a Registered Financial Advisor.
An avid sportsman in all seasons, David is a keen participant in various club level codes in his community. He's passionate about helping local community causes, and trains hard for the annual Rimutaka Trail Run for the Mental Health Association.
With work experience in Canada and Singapore, Karen started her career in marketing and events prior to making the jump over to being a Communications and PR professional. With experience in both public and private sectors, she currently works for a Crown research agency as a communications specialist. She is passionate about helping companies communicate and brand themselves effectively and to reach the right target audience. When not working, Karen enjoys dabbling in arts and pottery, board gaming, and meeting friends for good food and drinks.
Neeraj moved down to Wellington from Auckland after university to begin his career after a brief stint in Sydney. He is a consultant for a multinational analytics software company, and likes to keep up with the latest tech and business trends. On the weekends you can easily catch him being a foodie at a new eatery or on a hike.
Terri is passionate about making meaningful connections and creating experiences which inspire and uplift.
She currently works at MBIE as a Communications Advisor and held previous roles at Philanthropy New Zealand, Victoria University of Wellington and New Zealand Red Cross. Raised in Whanganui-a-tara, she completed a Bachelor of Communications at Massey University.
Born in Sri Lanka and raised in Wellington, Sach is new to the WYP family having graduated from Victoria University of Wellington in 2016 completing a BCom majoring in HR and International Business. In 2018 she then went to complete her Master’s Degree in International Business.
She joined Fujitsu New Zealand (no, not the Heat Pump company) as the HR Graduate in 2019 and has since moved her career into the Marketing and Events space where she is responsible for executing digital marketing and high impact bespoke industry events to raise the Fujitsu brand profile. She is currently seconded into a role responsible for marketing the Fujitsu’s Product Portfolio across Australia and New Zealand.
Passionate about building meaningful relationships both in and out of work, Sach spends a lot of time working with key stakeholders to improve the employee experience and is the local Champion for their D&I Generational Pillar and lead for our New Zealand Fujitsu's Women Network. When not at work, she loves hanging out with her 12 year old dog, Buster, a good Netflix binge and cooking.
