Steph James

Steph is a Recruitment Consultant with Randstad, she specialises in project and transformational recruitment. Prior to her time with Randstad Steph spent a number of years working within government in project delivery and HR. She studied at Victoria University gaining a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Criminology.

Steph joined the WYP Committee in June 2016 and stepped up to President in March 2017. Steph is excited about growing networking, growth and opportunities for young professionals in Wellington. Feel free to reach out to her on if you have any questions!

Jonny Hogan
Vice President

Jason Klapproth

Jason is a commercial solicitor at Rainey Collins Lawyers.

Jason grew up in Auckland, and studied Law and Commerce (majoring in Economics) at the University of Otago in Dunedin.

Outside of work, Jason volunteers as a lawyer at Community Law Wellington and is often found out surfing the breaks of Lyall Bay and the Wairarapa.

Caroline Ash

Caroline is an Associate at Pricewaterhouse Coopers in their Risk Assurance practice where she works in Project Risk, Internal Audit, Transformation Confidence, Regulatory Response and Cyber Security. Originally from Wellington, she spent 14 years growing up in numerous countries, and studied International Relations and English Literature (after a brief stint at Law School) at Victoria University. Caroline loves anything global and will happily while away hours yarning about international politics, sustainable practices, risk management and Women in business.

In her spare time Caroline can normally be found at the gym lifting heavy things, drinking a good Riesling, exhibiting art or out on the water fishing. When she can, she is always looking for opportunities to use her French, Melanesian Pijin and Arabic! She always enjoys meeting people at WYP events, so please introduce yourself and come have a glass of wine!

Frederick Dunphy
Sponsorship Manager

Frederick Dunphy is our new Sponsorship Manager. Frederick is part of the Property and Commercial team at Morrison Kent and is an avid sportsman.

Frederick enjoys long walks down the beach, wine, golf and trying new things. Frederick is one of the most social people you will meet, you should feel free to approach him at any meeting or event as he simply loves to meet new people.

Frederick is eager to discuss any and all sponsorship opportunities and aims to provide access for WYP members to the best benefits possible.

Mark Lynskey
Marketing and Communications Manager

Mark has recently joined us as our new Marketing and Communications Manager.  Originally from Hawke's Bay, he has studied Engineering, Web Development, and Multimedia.  After spending time working at a digital agency, he is currently a freelance web developer and graphic designer.

Mark has a curious eye for cutting-edge technology and trends, and is a promoter of continuous learning.  He enjoys football, reading, coffee, craft beer, and scotch.

Stefanie Perica
Events Lead

Stef has recently moved back to Wellington after spending approximately 4 years working in Canada and the UK in corporate marketing and recruitment environments.

Her primary responsibilities in her previous roles included developing and executing events, photography, recruiting, marketing and managing the firm’s social media activity. 

Stef works for Round Peg Recruitment Services as a Candidate Manager and is also a Freelance Wedding/Event Photographer in her spare time. She looks forward to both organising some interesting and exciting events for WYP and meeting members.

Amy Lin
Events Manager

Amy is a Technical Consultant at IBM, graduated from University of Canterbury with BE(Hons) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering. She is a part time pianist and graphic designer, also a bookworm who can never seem to finish a book before the movie adaption comes out.

Moving up from Christchurch in 2016, Amy fully embraces the Wellington culture and absolutely loves exploring the city in the weekend.

Natalia Fareti
Events Manager

Natalia is a Senior Advisor at the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment. A graduate of both Victoria University and Massey University (Economics and Commercial Law), she’s an aspiring author who enjoys a bit of tango and ceroc here and there, as well as kickboxing.

She volunteers for various causes and finds it hard to say no to chocolate. She looks forward to helping arrange some great events for our WYP members and guests.

Mary Sullivan
Events Manager

Mary is originally from Hawke's Bay and studied law and history at Otago University. She is a corporate and commercial solicitor at Limited, a firm which works with start ups and high growth companies (among others).

Outside of work she enjoys attending many of the events and activities Wellington has to offer, and is also a keen runner.

Pavee Ruksaksakul
Events Manager

Pavee was raised in Bangkok before he received a scholarship to play American Football in Oregon. Following his time in the US he moved to Wellington and attended Victoria University where he studied Development Studies and Criminology. He is currently working for the university and pursuing further study in Restorative Justice.

Pavee is a surf life guard instructor at Lyall Bay and was recently selected as one of 15 candidates from around the country to attend the BP Leaders for Life programme. Pavee enjoys a good feed and being active so you would most likely see him in various tournaments and social events around the city.
