Join us for our monthly networking drinks on the 5th of June!
Networking drinks are a great opportunity to mix and mingle with the wonderful young professionals in Wellington and is free to all – members and non-members. If you have never been to a WYP event or are new to the area our networking drinks are a great opportunity to practice your networking skills and maybe make some new connections or even friends along the way!
Here are some top tips to get the most out of networking drinks:
- Everyone is a little bit nervous join a conversation and introduce yourself, we are all there for the same thing
- If in doubt find a committee member we are always up for a chat! You can usually find a handful of us floating around
- Networking takes practice so don’t worry if you don’t get it perfect the first time
- Mix and mingle around the room, practice polite ways to enter and exit conversations
- Enjoyed chatting to someone? Connect on LinkedIn! It is always good to expand your network
